Our goal is to help demystify selling used books on Amazon by sharing strategies that helped our business grow. In this series of articles, we will dive into material created for Amazon sellers of all experience levels. We hope everyone from the stay-at-home parent to the aspiring business mogul will find value in our research.
We are a team of used book sellers based in Southern California. Mostly computer geeks with collective backgrounds in Software Development, Business Management, and Information Technology. We have applied that experience to selling used books and uncovered methods that may have not been discussed in other Amazon selling tutorials.
We began selling used books on Amazon as an experiment to learn more about eCommerce. Like many of you, we studied videos and tutorials explaining how to buy used books at a low cost and sell them online for a markup. After dipping our toes in the water, we realized there was plenty of opportunity in used books, and plenty of inventory to be found. This led to us buying hundreds of used books per week to resell online. Our time in bookselling has presented plenty of challenges, each with their own unique solutions. We’ve tested and analyzed strategies in many areas of the bookselling business. Our goal is now to share what we have found with people like you and our peers in the bookselling community. We hope you’ll find value and something new that may help your business in the future.
In the following articles, we will discuss what we believe to be the most effective methods for sourcing inventory, streamlining operations, effectively pricing, managing inventory and more. We plan to continue adding to this used book selling course with the intention to create one of the most comprehensive resources in the bookselling industry.
Along the way, we hope you’ll join in, share your thoughts and ideas, and work with us to grow our businesses altogether. Stay in touch! Your feedback is important to us.
